HEALTHY TAHINI PIE RECIPE BY AGNI


In need of some healthy snack inspiration? It might be time to refine your baking skills. The good news? There’s very little ‘cooking’ in this recipe, although the end result is just as delicious.

There’s never really been a better excuse to treat yourself. Make the most of no commute and treat yourself to a healthy and yummy tahini pie recipe from our Co-founder Agni. With this recipe, you get all the rich chewy goodness without the dairy and refined cane sugar – perfect for an afternoon snack or breakfast bite with your coffee.

TAHINI PIE – TAHINOPITTA

Ingredients:

Dough

  • 200 Grams gluten free oat flour
  • 5gr Yeast
  • ½ teaspoon mehlepi
  • ½ teaspoon mastiha
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½  cup coconut sugar

Tahini filling

  • 400ml tahini
  • ½ cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1. Mix a little water and the yeast and cover with clingfilm until it bubbles (around 10-15 minutes)
  • 2. Mix the oat flour, ½ teaspoon mehlepi, ½ teaspoon mastiha, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, ½ cup coconut sugar
  • 3. Make a hole in the centre and add the yeast
  • 4. Κnead into a dough adding water as needed (around 100-200ml) or use thermomix dough function for 1 minute
  • 5. Leave the dough to rise for 40 minutes
  • 6. Meanwhile make the tahini filling by mixing 400ml tahini, ½ cup coconut sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 7. Cut the dough in 8 and roll out adding the tahini filling
  • 8. Roll out the pieces and add the filling shaping into a snail
  • 9. B5. Bake in a preheated oven (150 Celsius) for 45 minutes
